At seven years old, Eugene took his first dance lesson from a quadriplegic Cuban refugee named Roberto in Miami, Florida. View (Alberto's). This was about five years ago and since then he's been a student of Latin dances; mainly mambo and tango.
He briefly joined and performed with the MamboRomero student group. In the meantime, he was taking tango and Afro-Cuban classes. Then, in his own words: "a great opportunity to learn more about dancing and music knocked earlier this year when THP agreed to admit me into the group."
